Varun Dhawan Suffers Severe Injury During Border-2 Shoot, Still Battling Pain

Mumbai: Actors often put their heart and soul into bringing film scenes to life, sometimes at the cost of their own well-being. Such dedication is a testament to their sincerity and professionalism.

Varun Dhawan experienced this firsthand while shooting for ‘Border-2’. In a bid to perfect a fight sequence, he sustained a serious injury but continued the shoot with full commitment.

‘Border-2’ is considered one of the finest films in Varun Dhawan’s career. During the film’s promotion, he frequently mentioned the intense effort everyone put into its making. Recently, the actor shared proof of this dedication on social media.

Varun revealed that during the shoot of a fight scene, he suffered a severe injury to the lower part of his back, including a hairline fracture on his tailbone. Despite the pain, with the support of his team, he managed to carry on with the shooting.

Sharing the fight sequence video, Varun wrote, “I got my worst injury on Border 2. While trying to avoid hitting the camera, my tailbone struck a rock. It was the most excruciating pain I have ever felt. I have a hairline fracture in my tailbone and I am still recovering. My team helped me that day, and I am grateful to them. I could barely walk, but we kept going. I am thankful for this journey.”

The video shows Varun engaged in combat with an adversary, where the injury occurred. Fans have praised his dedication and expressed their wishes for his speedy recovery. Many remarked that his performance in ‘Border-2’ reflects how much he committed himself to the role.

Before the release, Varun faced considerable criticism for his acting. However, post-release, it is clear that he brought the character of Major Hoshiar Singh Dahiya to life convincingly. The film is performing well at the box office, crossing the ₹200 crore mark domestically.
