Uttar Pradesh Transforms Healthcare Landscape: CM Yogi Adityanath Highlights Progress

Lucknow, October 9 (Daily Kiran) : Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has commended the state government’s efforts to enhance healthcare services. He emphasized that the BJP government is working decisively to make Uttar Pradesh a healthy, capable, and self-reliant state.

In a recent post on the social media platform X, Adityanath highlighted that over 10 crore residents are now benefiting from the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana and the Chief Minister’s Jan Arogya Abhiyan. These initiatives have alleviated the financial burden of serious illnesses, allowing citizens to live healthier lives with dignity.

The Chief Minister noted that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the double-engine BJP government has made significant strides since 2017, moving away from the previously inadequate healthcare system. He pointed out that Uttar Pradesh, which was once known for its association with crime, is now establishing new standards in health services with the initiative of “One District, One Medical College.”

Adityanath stated that the number of medical colleges in the state has surged from just 36 in 2017 to 85 today. Additionally, the number of MBBS seats has increased dramatically from 4,690 to over 13,600. This expansion not only offers more opportunities for youth in medical education but also enhances access to quality healthcare for the general public.

He reiterated that the Ayushman Bharat scheme and the Chief Minister’s health initiatives have freed over 10 crore residents from the worry of high medical costs, enabling them to focus on better health and dignity. This shift from health insecurity to a robust healthcare framework marks the new identity of a healthy Uttar Pradesh.
