Fans and fellow artists alike are paying their respects in various ways. Among them, actor Gurmeet Choudhary expressed his sorrow over Patekar’s death, reflecting on the profound impact the late actor had on his life.
Currently in Patna, Choudhary shared his feelings about Patekar, stating, “Hearing about his passing deeply saddened me. Nana Patekar was an exceptional artist who will always hold a special place in people’s hearts. I read in a newspaper that during the Kargil War, he spent time with the soldiers. This inspired me greatly. It made me realize that being an artist goes beyond acting; it’s also about the contributions one makes to society.”
Gurmeet Choudhary is also in the spotlight for his upcoming film, “Tum Mere Ho,” produced under his banner, Deb Guru Films, in collaboration with Rewa Creative House. He expressed excitement about promoting the film starting in Bihar, saying, “I was fortunate to portray Lord Ram in the TV series ‘Ramayan’ at a young age. The audience embraced the character, and it is their blessings that have brought me to where I am today. Being both a producer and actor in ‘Tum Mere Ho’ makes this project particularly special to me. The songs and trailer have received a positive response, and I hope audiences will enjoy the film when it releases on October 23.”
In a creative tribute to Patekar, Udaipur artist and chef Harshvardhan Singh used a watermelon as his canvas to create a portrait of the late actor. In an interview, Singh shared, “I felt very sad upon hearing about his death. I wanted to pay a heartfelt tribute, so I decided to paint his portrait on a watermelon. It took me about five to six hours, and I dedicate this piece to Nana Patekar.”
Singh also mentioned his admiration for Patekar’s work, particularly citing “Tiranga” as his favorite film. He has previously created portraits of other notable figures, including Dharmendra, Dhirendra Shastri, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
This heartfelt homage reflects the lasting legacy of Nana Patekar in the hearts of many, showcasing the profound influence he had on both his peers and fans.
