Mumbai, August 28: In a recent press conference held by the Cine and TV Artists Association (SINTA), actress Kunika Sadanand shared her thoughts on the ongoing issues within the organization. As a member of SINTA, she emphasized the importance of setting aside ego and focusing on the work at hand.
She stated, “It is quite unfortunate to see what is happening in SINTA. It seems we are getting distracted by internal conflicts and egos, while SINTA was established for the greater good. We need to focus on that, and when you serve, you must put your ego aside.”
Addressing allegations against fellow members Poonam Dhillon and Padmini, Kunika remarked, “I know Poonam Dhillon personally, and while I am not well-acquainted with Padmini, I have known Poonam for many years. She has a dominating nature, and such behavior can lead a team forward. This kind of attitude is beneficial for leadership, but it only works if you can lead the entire team. One person cannot achieve everything alone.”
Kunika also mentioned her absence from the last two Annual General Meetings (AGMs), explaining, “I attended one AGM with them, and when she was elected, her manner of speaking to people was quite harsh. I thought, what’s the point of wasting four hours of my day when no one is listening? Since then, I have stopped attending.”
During the press conference, discussions about the upcoming SINTA elections were held. Kunika added, “Now that they have spoken, they may have a team. I just want to say that whoever comes in, I will always call out what is right and what is wrong.”
