UCC Law Welcomed by MP Ghulam Ali Khatana as a Step Towards Equality

New Delhi, June 29: Ghulam Ali Khatana, a Member of Parliament from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), has expressed his support for the upcoming Uniform Civil Code (UCC) bill in West Bengal. He emphasized that this law is meant for all citizens and deserves backing. Khatana also commented on the Ram Temple donation issue and the NEET paper leak scandal.

The UCC bill is expected to be introduced in the West Bengal Assembly on Saturday. Speaking to a news agency, Khatana stated, “A uniform law for all citizens of the country should be welcomed.”

Regarding the NEET paper leak, he asserted that the issues affecting students should not be politicized. He noted that the government has taken strict measures and will investigate any future leaks thoroughly.

Khatana remarked, “We engage in politics, but we should not politicize student issues. The government has taken firm steps regarding the NEET controversy. If there are leaks elsewhere, strict action will be taken, and the investigation will be fair and transparent.”

He further stated that not every issue should be given a political hue. The opposition has made statements regarding the crisis caused by the war in the Middle East, but we should focus on issues that truly matter.

Meanwhile, Khatana addressed the Ram Temple issue, asserting that the law is doing its job. He accused Akhilesh Yadav of politicizing the matter, saying, “The law is functioning, but Akhilesh Yadav is trying to politicize this issue. His aim is to sway majority voters towards the Samajwadi Party. However, the people of the country, especially in Uttar Pradesh, do not share this sentiment.”
