Two Wanted KZF Members Deported from Malaysia, Arrested by Punjab Police

New Delhi, June 19: Punjab Police has successfully deported two wanted members of the banned Khalistan Zindabad Force (KZF) from Malaysia, following a significant operation based on intelligence information. This achievement was made possible with the assistance of central agencies and the Royal Malaysia Police (RMP), as confirmed by the Director General of Police (DGP) of Punjab.

Upon their arrival at Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi, the accused were apprehended by Punjab Police and subsequently taken to the state for further investigation.

The DGP identified the suspects as Gurvinder Singh from Ambala and Manjeet Singh from Patiala. Both individuals were key members of a KZF-supported terror module operating in Malaysia, which targeted critical railway infrastructure, including dedicated freight corridor lines in Punjab.

Previously, Punjab Police had uncovered this terror module, which was responsible for an IED blast near Sirhind in Fatehgarh Sahib on January 23 and an attempted explosion on April 27 near Shambhu in Patiala district along the same corridor.

During the investigation, four other suspects were arrested, and a significant cache of weapons and explosives was seized, including an RPG launcher, IEDs, RDX, hand grenades, and high-end pistols with ammunition.

Further inquiries into this international conspiracy revealed the involvement of KZF handlers and funding operators based in Malaysia. The deported suspects played a crucial role in channeling funds to KZF operatives in Punjab through offshore accounts, facilitating terrorist attacks and undermining peace and law enforcement in the state.

The DGP stated that both suspects were presented in a Patiala court and have been remanded to police custody for further questioning. The investigation continues to identify all individuals involved in this extensive network. He emphasized that Punjab Police is fully committed to dismantling the terrorist network, halting funding, and maintaining peace, security, and harmony in Punjab.
