Ambulance Crashes

Ajmer, October 13 (Udaipur Kiran): Two people were killed and three others seriously injured after an ambulance collided with a trailer on NH-48 near Chhitroli, under the Bagru police station area, late Sunday night. The accident occurred after palm oil spilled on the road from a damaged tanker, causing the ambulance to skid and lose control.

Ambulance Crashes

According to Sub-Inspector Sher Singh of Bagru police station, the accident took place when a trailer rammed into a stationary tanker, damaging it and spilling palm oil across the highway. The slippery surface led to a loss of control of a Marble City Hospital Kishangarh ambulance, which was transporting a heart attack patient to Jaipur. The ambulance veered off the road and hit another parked trailer, killing two passengers on the spot.

The deceased have been identified as Dinesh Kumari (55), wife of Vitthaldas, and Veeram Singh alias Vikki (31) — both residents of Dhabhai Mohalla, Kishangarh. The injured include Vitthaldas (63), his 31-year-old son, and ambulance driver Satish (32), all of whom sustained serious injuries and were rushed to SMS Hospital, Jaipur for treatment.

Family members said Vitthaldas, who had suffered a heart attack, was being shifted from Marble City Hospital, Kishangarh, to Jaipur when the accident occurred.

Following the incident, police reached the site and began rescue operations. Traffic on the highway was briefly disrupted due to the oil spill but was later restored after the damaged vehicles were removed with the help of a crane and the road was cleaned.

The police have registered a case and are investigating the cause of the accident.
