Mumbai, June 7: BJP MLC Shrikant Panditrao Bhartiya praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s economic policies for contributing to a 7.7% GDP growth in India for the fiscal year 2025-26. He emphasized that the trust of millions in Modi is a driving force behind this development.
Bhartiya stated, “The most significant aspect is that 1.25 billion people have faith in PM Narendra Modi. They trust him now and will continue to do so. This trust stems from two factors: development and confidence. The Congress party often discusses the country’s economic situation, primarily through Rahul Gandhi’s statements. Honestly, I find it hard to understand why people take Rahul Gandhi’s comments on the economy seriously. The world is heading towards a major economic crisis, and it is PM Modi’s vision and understanding of the economy that has helped us maintain a GDP growth rate of approximately 7.7%.”
Regarding the DMK’s official boycott of the upcoming India Block meeting, he remarked, “The past of the India Block has never been meaningful. Leaving aside its present, there is no point in discussing its future. Political alliances usually have a history and remain united for specific reasons. There is often a shared purpose or a unifying force that keeps them together. In this case, that has never existed. This alliance was formed solely to oppose PM Narendra Modi and to keep the BJP out of power. The reason for this alliance’s failure is that its unity has never had a serious or solid foundation. As for Stalin, he had previously joined this alliance with great reluctance.”
On the removal of Z-plus security for former Chief Minister Rabri Devi and Lalu Prasad Yadav, Bhartiya explained, “Z-plus security is granted under specific rules and procedures. Decisions in such cases are made based on information received from various sources. Granting or withdrawing Z-plus security is not a trivial or everyday matter. It involves extensive deliberation at a high level, and importantly, any decision is made after considering various types of information and intelligence assessments.”
