New Delhi, June 7: BJP national spokesperson RP Singh responded to the projected 7.7% GDP growth for India in 2025-26, highlighting the various challenges faced by both the world and the nation. Despite these hurdles, he attributed the positive growth rate to the policies implemented by Prime Minister Modi.
In an interview on Saturday, Singh noted that the ongoing energy crisis poses a significant challenge, impacting the global economy. However, he emphasized that the government is actively taking steps to manage and improve the situation. These efforts are gradually reflecting positively on the Indian economy, which is why the growth rate remains encouraging.
Singh stated that the government’s priority is to ensure economic stability and to face any crisis with resilience. Under Modi’s leadership, the government not only understands the challenges but is also working actively towards solutions. This proactive approach is why India’s economy is faring better compared to many other countries.
Commenting on opposition leader Rahul Gandhi’s statements, Singh remarked that they are often exaggerated. He quipped, “His ‘tsunami’ suggests a storm in his teacup. The truth is, the country is in safe hands. We acknowledge the crisis, but PM Modi is focused on how to overcome it, and the GDP growth indicates that the nation is secure.”
When asked about the delimitation bill, Singh explained that the government aims to redefine Lok Sabha seats based on the country’s population and demographics. He believes this process is essential for making the democratic system more representative. He also mentioned that increasing the number of parliamentary seats is under consideration to ensure adequate representation for more regions and people.
Supporting women’s reservation, he described it as a crucial step that would enhance their participation in politics. According to him, these reforms will further strengthen the democratic framework of the country.
