Washington, September 10 (Daily Kiran) : Donald Trump has made a significant election promise ahead of the midterm elections. Speaking in Washington, he declared that if the Republican Party retains control of both the House of Representatives and the Senate, every adult American citizen will receive a payment of $5,000.
This initiative, dubbed the “Trump Dividend,” was announced during his speech at a Republican midterm conference in Dallas. Trump emphasized that the economic strength and success of the United States justify this payment, contingent on a Republican victory in November’s elections.
He specified that the funds must be spent within the United States, stating that recipients cannot use the money abroad. However, Trump did not clarify how the program would be funded or implemented.
In his speech, Trump likened this payment to dividends issued by successful companies to their shareholders. He assured the audience that if Republicans win, the public would benefit alongside them with the $5,000 payout.
Although Trump is not running for president this cycle, he positioned himself as a central figure in the Republican campaign. He urged voters to view the elections as if he were on the ballot, arguing that Republican candidates perform better when he is actively involved.
Trump remarked, “When I’m in the field, Republicans always do well. We have won the presidency three times.” He urged supporters to consider the stakes, warning that a loss for Republicans would mean losing tax cuts, safety, and security.
Promising a vigorous campaign schedule in the final weeks before voting, Trump announced plans to visit competitive congressional districts and participate in rallies for Republican candidates.
He has repeatedly warned his supporters about the threat of communism in the United States, stating, “A strange, sick cloud hangs over our country… we will defeat communism in America.”
During his address, Trump also referenced Iran, reiterating threats of military action. He advised Iran not to act foolishly, suggesting that the U.S. would respond forcefully if necessary.
Additionally, he proposed renaming New Mexico to “New America,” claiming it reflects a more fitting identity for the state.
