Barmer, 25 August (Kiran News): A horrific accident took place on Sunday night at Lunwa Jagir village along the Bagoḍa-Sayala road on the Barmer-Jalore border, where two trailers collided head-on. Following the collision, both trailers caught fire, resulting in one driver being burnt alive. Locals managed to pull two youths out from the other trailer, both of whom suffered serious injuries and were referred to Bhinmal Hospital.

The incident occurred around 9 pm. After a loud explosion, fire rapidly engulfed both vehicles. Gudamalani police, ambulance, and fire brigade reached the spot as soon as they received the information. It took about an hour of effort to control the blaze. Both trailers were completely gutted in the fire.
According to reports, one trailer was carrying rice, while the other was loaded with tiles and tower equipment coming from Morbi, Gujarat. The collision was so severe that long queues of vehicles formed on both sides of the road.
Station House Officer Devichand Dhaka stated that one driver died in the accident and identification efforts are underway. Treatment of the two injured is ongoing. Police cleared the traffic jam and have started investigating the cause of the accident.
