Tributes Paid to Acharya Vinoba Bhave on His Birth Anniversary by PM Modi and Central Ministers

New Delhi, September 11 (Daily Kiran) : Prime Minister Narendra Modi, along with several central ministers, paid tribute to Acharya Vinoba Bhave on his birth anniversary, recognizing him as the founder of the Bhoodan movement and a prominent freedom fighter and social reformer.

In a post on X, PM Modi expressed his homage, stating, “Tribute to Acharya Vinoba Bhave on his birth anniversary. His inspiring call of ‘Jai Jagat’ transcended all boundaries and placed humanity above all. Through his various efforts, he worked for the welfare and empowerment of all. His unwavering belief in equality, respect, and service empowered the most marginalized.”

Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan also commemorated Bhave, noting, “Remembering Acharya Vinoba Bhave on his birth anniversary, who transformed the ideals of compassion, equality, and non-violence into a powerful movement for social change. His life, filled with simplicity, service, and sacrifice, will always inspire the nation.”

Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan took to X to express, “On the birth anniversary of the pioneer of the Bhoodan movement, great freedom fighter, and social reformer, ‘Bharat Ratna’ Acharya Vinoba Bhave, I bow in reverence. In the sacred light of his thoughts, we will continue to work for the progress of the nation and society.”

Law and Justice Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal acknowledged Bhave’s legacy, stating, “On the birth anniversary of the Bhoodan movement’s founder and Bharat Ratna Acharya Vinoba Bhave, I pay my deepest respects. The historical consciousness he awakened through the Bhoodan movement regarding the rights of the landless and uplifting the most disadvantaged will guide us in nation-building for generations.”

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh honored Bhave as well, writing, “On the birth anniversary of the great Gandhian thinker and social reformer Acharya Vinoba Bhave, I pay my respects. He dedicated his life to social justice and the welfare of underprivileged communities. Through the Bhoodan movement, he emphasized the values of equality and social harmony, which remain highly relevant in building a developed India. The nation will always remember his contributions.”

Health and Family Welfare Minister JP Nadda also paid tribute, stating, “I pay my profound respects to the great thinker, freedom fighter, and Bharat Ratna Acharya Vinoba Bhave on his birth anniversary. Through the Bhoodan movement, he empowered the spirit of social equality, justice, and brotherhood, continuously striving for the upliftment of the marginalized and needy. His philosophy of simplicity, sacrifice, and national service will always inspire the new generation to serve the public.”
