Mumbai, April 28: Cinema often presents films that entertain while also addressing serious societal issues. In this context, the trailer for the Alzheimer-themed movie ‘September 21’ was released on Tuesday.

This Hindi-Kannada film sensitively portrays the impact of Alzheimer’s, a serious illness, on families. The 2-minute and 26-second trailer takes viewers on an emotional journey, focusing on the strained relationship between a father suffering from Alzheimer’s and his son, highlighting the struggles of dementia and caregivers.

The trailer illustrates the challenges faced by a father battling Alzheimer’s and dementia, while his son grapples with his personal ambitions and the weight of responsibility towards his father.

Director Karen Kshiti Suvarna emphasizes the struggles of Alzheimer’s patients and the often-overlooked challenges faced by caregivers. The film aims to showcase the mental and physical hurdles caregivers encounter while providing support to patients, a theme powerfully reflected in the trailer.
