Tragic Fire in Lucknow: Deputy Chief Minister Declares No Birthday Celebration

Lucknow, June 24: A devastating fire at a coaching center in Lucknow has led to the tragic loss of several innocent students, casting a shadow of grief across the state. In a compassionate gesture, Uttar Pradesh‘s Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak has announced that he will not celebrate his birthday on June 25. He stated that it is inappropriate to celebrate personal milestones when many families are enduring the unbearable pain of losing their children.

Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak dedicated his birthday to the memory of the deceased children and expressed condolences to the grieving families. He took to social media platform X to share his feelings, stating that the horrific incident at the coaching center has deeply disturbed him. The untimely deaths of numerous young children have filled the entire state with sorrow and anguish.

He emphasized that celebrating his birthday seems inappropriate when so many families have lost their lights. With a heavy heart, he made the decision not to celebrate on June 25. This day will be dedicated to honoring the sacred memory of the departed children and extending sympathy to their mourning families.

Pathak prayed to Lord Shri Hari to grant a place to all the children who lost their lives in this heart-wrenching and unfortunate incident, to give the grieving families the strength to endure their immense sorrow, and to wish for the swift recovery of the injured.

It is noteworthy that the tragic fire in a multi-story building in the Aliganj area of Lucknow has shaken the entire state. The incident resulted in the heartbreaking deaths of 15 children, while five others sustained injuries and are currently receiving treatment in various hospitals. Preliminary investigations revealed that a pet shop was operating on the ground floor, while a gaming zone was located on the upper floors. A detailed investigation into the cause of the fire is underway.

Under the directives of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, a Special Investigation Team (SIT) has inspected the site and has also spoken with the injured and their families in the hospitals. Investigative agencies are thoroughly examining all aspects, including safety standards, the legality of the building, and potential negligence.
