ITBP Announces Recruitment for 126 Sports Quota Positions, Apply by November 1

New Delhi, October 19 (Daily Kiran) : The Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) has exciting news for athletes. The force is seeking to fill 126 positions for Constables (General Duty) under the sports quota. This recruitment is open to eligible citizens, including those from Nepal and Bhutan. Interested candidates can apply online until November 1.

The recruitment covers various sports disciplines. Positions include athletics (200m, 5000m, 10,000m, triple jump) with 5 openings (3 for men, 2 for women), aquatics (water polo, freestyle, breaststroke, backstroke, butterfly, medley) with 4 positions (2 for men, 2 for women), and archery (recurve, compound, Indian round) with 5 slots (1 for men, 4 for women). Other sports include badminton (6 positions), basketball (3), boxing (9), equestrian (1), football (2), gymnastics (6), handball (3), ice hockey (6), hockey (3), judo (12), kho-kho (3), pencak silat (4), powerlifting (1), central skiing (8), sports shooting (8), table tennis (2), taekwondo (7), volleyball (6), weightlifting (4), wrestling (5), canoeing (3), kayaking (3), rowing (1), mountain biking (2), and karate (4). In total, there are 72 positions for men and 54 for women.

The online application process began on October 3 and will close on November 1. Candidates wishing to apply should visit the ITBP’s official website to complete their registration before the deadline.

Applicants must be between 18 and 21 years old, with age relaxation available for candidates from reserved categories. When filling out the application, candidates must pay a fee of ₹100 for general, OBC, and EWS male applicants. SC, ST, and female candidates are exempt from the registration fee.

Selected candidates will receive a monthly salary ranging from ₹21,700 to ₹69,100. Note that these vacancies are not open to persons with disabilities or ex-servicemen.
