Greater Noida, May 19: The tragic death of 24-year-old newlywed Deepika Nagar has sent shockwaves through the community of Jalapura village in Greater Noida. Her family is devastated and has been seen grieving openly.
Deepika’s relatives have accused her in-laws of murdering her for dowry. Her mother, Saroj Nagar, shared that they received a call around 1 AM two nights ago, informing them that Deepika had fallen from the roof. However, the circumstances surrounding her fall remain unclear. When they inquired about how she fell, the in-laws provided no clear answers. According to Saroj, Deepika had been subjected to harassment for the past eight months.
A family member recounted receiving a call from his elder brother around 2 AM, stating that they had killed “Dipu.” Prior to the incident, the brother had visited Jalapura, conversing with relatives before returning home at 11 PM. Just moments after changing clothes, the alarming call came in about Deepika’s injury. The family believes the incident was premeditated. Deepika had visible injuries on her hands and other parts of her body.
According to the post-mortem report, all of Deepika’s organs were damaged, and she suffered severe head trauma. Her family is adamant that she was murdered and is seeking justice. They have appealed to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for assistance in obtaining justice for their daughter.
