Mumbai, June 15: Shiv Sena’s national spokesperson, Shaina NC, expressed deep sorrow over the tragic accident in Pandharpur. She emphasized that no amount of financial compensation can bring back lost lives. The government must take appropriate measures to prevent such incidents in the future.
In a conversation with a news agency, Shaina NC noted that the unfortunate event resulted in the deaths of eight to nine individuals, with many others injured. While the government has announced compensation for the deceased and injured, she reiterated that financial aid cannot replace the lives lost. Devotees embark on religious journeys with full faith and trust, making it imperative to strengthen safety protocols to avert such occurrences.
Commenting on Maharashtra’s political landscape and the activities of opposition parties, Shaina NC remarked that if a meeting calls for all MPs and attendance is lacking, it signals underlying issues within the organization. She mentioned that various leaders are citing different reasons for their absence, but ultimately, it is a personal choice.
It is noteworthy that Uddhav Thackeray, the leader of Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray), convened a crucial meeting of party MPs at his residence, Matoshree, in Mumbai on Sunday. However, not all MPs attended, leading to the clarification that those absent were connected online.
Shaina NC also targeted the Indian Alliance, stating that its political standing has weakened, raising serious questions about its future. Regarding the potential political closeness between Uddhav Thackeray and Raj Thackeray, she remarked that while both leaders have collaborated in the past, it did not yield the expected political benefits.
She concluded by asserting that the people of Maharashtra now desire politics focused on development and performance. She claimed that the Mahayuti alliance is meeting the public’s expectations and will continue to receive support in the future.
