He emphasized that this airport, named after the great freedom fighter Alluri Sitarama Raju, pays tribute to his courage, sacrifice, and patriotism.

The TDP president noted that under Prime Minister Modi’s visionary and reform-driven leadership, significant changes have occurred in India’s civil aviation sector.

Naidu remarked, “Prime Minister Modi’s vision of making air travel easier and more affordable is fulfilling the dreams of millions. The opening of Bhogapuram Airport will accelerate development in North Andhra. It will enhance connectivity, tourism, trade, and economic activities. Under his leadership, India is rapidly moving towards the goal of a ‘Developed India.’ Andhra Pradesh is also committed to playing a crucial role in this mission by becoming a ‘Golden Andhra Pradesh.'”

He previously announced that the inauguration of Bhogapuram Airport is scheduled for August 1.

The Chief Minister described this airport as a vital project for North Andhra. He stated that it will develop into a logistics hub, provide better global connectivity, and play a significant role in Andhra Pradesh’s economic progress.

Naidu instructed officials to offer a complimentary air travel opportunity to farmers and landowners who provided land for this project as a gesture of respect.
