Indore, September 4 (Daily Kiran) : Chief Minister Mohan Yadav of Madhya Pradesh announced plans to transform locations associated with Lord Ram and Krishna into pilgrimage sites. Speaking at a land-puja ceremony for the development of Shri Parshuram Lok and Shri Krishna Lok in Janapav, Yadav emphasized the deep connection these deities have with the state.
Janapav holds significant historical value as the site where Lord Krishna received the Sudarshan Chakra from sage Parshuram. Yadav described it as a sacred land, where the remembrance of Lord Krishna during Janmashtami is a privilege for all.
He highlighted that the Sudarshan Chakra, bestowed upon Krishna by Parshuram, became a vital weapon for upholding dharma and truth throughout Krishna’s life. The Chief Minister referenced the episode involving Shishupal, noting how Krishna honored his aunt’s promise by forgiving Shishupal for a hundred offenses before ultimately ending his life to protect righteousness.
Yadav reiterated the profound historical ties between Madhya Pradesh and these deities. The government aims to revive this nearly 5,000-year-old glorious history. All locations where Lord Krishna set foot will be developed as pilgrimage sites, just as places associated with Lord Ram will also be enhanced for religious tourism.
Plans include the development of sites linked to Chitrakoot Dham, Janapav, and ashrams related to Lord Ram’s exile, along with locations tied to Krishna’s life. Notable areas such as those connected to the abduction of Rukmini and battle sites in Dhar district will also be revitalized to celebrate their historical significance.
