Patna, June 10: Bihar Minister Ram Kripal Yadav has made strong remarks regarding the political landscape of West Bengal and Bihar, specifically targeting the Trinamool Congress (TMC). He stated that the party, led by Mamata Banerjee, is now completely weakened and fragmented.
In an interview with a news agency, Yadav emphasized that the TMC has disintegrated into factions. He claimed that the party’s identity has vanished, giving rise to a new TMC that aligns with the NDA. “Mamata didi is finished; she has no existence left. Abhishek Banerjee’s dominance has also come to an end,” he asserted.
Yadav also responded sharply to controversial comments made by Leader of the Opposition Tejashwi Yadav regarding Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary. He stressed that the position of the Leader of the Opposition is a constitutional one and must be respected.
“The role of the opposition leader is significant and should not be undermined. It has been adorned by respected leaders like Karpoori Thakur and Lalu Prasad Yadav. Why diminish your own stature with such statements?” he questioned.
He further stated that the Chief Minister’s position is also constitutional, and a Chief Minister remains a Chief Minister regardless of their opposition status. “While you may be in the opposition, you should not lower the dignity of your position. Such actions lead to ridicule and raise questions about your credibility,” he added.
Yadav emphasized the importance of maintaining decorum in speech and language. “Being the leader of the opposition does not grant permission to use derogatory language or insults. Is this acceptable?” he concluded.
