
Dehradun, June 18: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami held a cabinet meeting in Dehradun on Thursday, discussing several significant topics. The meeting began with a moment of silence to honor the late former Chief Minister Major General BC Khanduri and renowned shooter and Padma Shri awardee Jaspal Rana. Cabinet ministers and officials paid tribute with two minutes of silence.
Chief Minister Dhami remarked that BC Khanduri made historic contributions to the development, good governance, and public service of the state. Khanduri’s leadership was pivotal in strengthening Uttarakhand’s administrative and developmental policies. Remembering Jaspal Rana, who brought India recognition on the international stage, the Chief Minister noted that his achievements will continue to inspire young athletes.
Wishing the new committee and the secretariat family well, the Chief Minister stated that the government’s goal is to cultivate a new work culture to make the state the best in the country. He urged officials to work with teamwork and transparency.
Additionally, regarding the upcoming NEET exam in Dehradun, the Chief Minister assured that the examination will be conducted in a completely transparent and fair manner. He mentioned that meetings with senior police officials have ensured stringent security and monitoring arrangements. There will be no room for any discrepancies, and strict oversight will be maintained at all examination centers.
Pushkar Singh Dhami stated, “We have also made travel tickets free for candidates. Our aim is for all students to take the exam with full confidence. The examination will be conducted with complete transparency. Today, meetings were held with all officials, the police department, and relevant authorities. We are continuously monitoring the entire arrangement. There is no possibility of any discrepancies. I urge all competitors to prepare well. These exams will be conducted successfully under a transparent system.”
He appealed to candidates to focus on their preparation without any apprehensions and to participate in the exam with confidence. The government’s objective is to ensure that the examination process is entirely reliable and fair, providing equal opportunities for all candidates.
