TMC Faces Internal Turmoil, Opposition Urged to Manage Its Own Affairs: Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi

New Delhi, June 9: Former Union Minister and BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi has sharply criticized the Trinamool Congress (TMC) over its alleged internal strife, the 12-year tenure of Prime Minister Modi, and the politics of the opposition alliance. He stated that the TMC is currently ensnared in a political crisis of its own making and appears to be fracturing before it can establish a united front.

In response to Kirti Azad‘s dismissal of rumors regarding TMC MPs leaving the party, Naqvi pointed out that serious contradictions have emerged within the ruling party of West Bengal. “When the house of Didi becomes a den for her nephew, chaos is inevitable. Now, both Mamata Banerjee and the TMC are caught in this game. They say the house is on fire, ignited by its own lamp. The TMC’s arrogance, disorder, and obstinate attitude towards the mandate are now weighing heavily on them,” he remarked.

Naqvi further emphasized that the party must first determine whom it needs to protect its house from. “There is turmoil and chaos within your own home. There is silence at your entrance and chaos at your exit. First, manage this situation,” he advised. He also reacted to TMC MP Mahua Moitra’s claim that MP Yusuf Pathan received a call from Union Home Minister Amit Shah, stating that unnecessary noise will not solve the problem.

He added, “You cannot manage your own house, yet you are raising alarms across the country. The chaos inside your home is due to overconfidence and internal contradictions. Fix those first. Merely making noise will not yield any benefits.”

On the occasion of the completion of 12 years of the central government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Naqvi described it as a significant achievement for Indian democracy. He noted that this is the first non-Congress government to have successfully governed without the support or alleged ‘remote control’ of Congress. “This government has consistently advanced good governance without the Congress’s support. Prime Minister Modi has demonstrated this. For a long time, it was believed that non-Congress governments could not remain stable. However, the Modi government has changed that perception,” he stated.

He remarked that some individuals adapt to the times, while others reshape the framework of time itself. “The notion that a government cannot function without Congress has been completely shattered. The strength with which the Modi government is operating is beneficial for India, good governance, democracy, and the people of the country.”

Regarding the advice given to Congress by Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, Naqvi mocked the opposition’s unity, stating that it appears to be fracturing before it can even form a united front. “Their stage seems to be collapsing before it can even become a platform. Each participant in this stage has their own aspirations and ambitions, each believing they should sit atop the power throne.”
