Lucknow, June 9: BJP MP Jagdambika Pal has responded sharply to allegations made by Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav regarding irregularities in donations for the Ram Temple. Pal stated that Yadav’s accusations have hurt the sentiments of millions of devotees, which is unacceptable at this time.
In an interview with a news agency, Pal emphasized that the claims made by Yadav cannot be dismissed. He recalled how Yadav and other leaders from the Samajwadi Party had previously opposed the Ram Temple. “We cannot forget how these very activists were shot at, and now Akhilesh Yadav is making such serious allegations,” he remarked.
Pal also referenced the Babri Masjid, criticizing Yadav for not questioning the donations made there. He pointed out that this inconsistency in Yadav’s stance is evident. “The people of the country and the state understand him well, and I want to make it clear that such double standards are entirely inappropriate,” he added.
He further stated that there are limits to appeasement politics, but lamented that Yadav has crossed those boundaries, attacking the faith of millions of devotees, which the public is keenly aware of.
Additionally, in response to advice given by Yadav to Rahul Gandhi during the ‘India’ alliance meeting, Keshav Prasad Maurya remarked that whether the Samajwadi Party, Congress, and BSP fight together or separately, the BJP is set to win a significant majority for the third time in the state.
