TMC Division Inevitable, Challenges Ahead for Mamata Banerjee: Rajiv Ranjan

Patna, June 14: Rajiv Ranjan, spokesperson for the Janata Dal (United), commented on the meeting of rebel TMC legislators in Delhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s foreign tour, and the vandalism by students at Patliputra Station. He asserted that the division of the Trinamool Congress (TMC) is imminent.

Regarding the meeting of TMC’s rebel MPs, Ranjan stated, “Public anger against TMC leadership is escalating. Both Mamata Banerjee and Abhishek Banerjee are now viewed as burdens on the party. This has led to a race to distance themselves from one another, resulting in several MLAs breaking away and now MPs following suit.”

On Mamata Banerjee’s plans for significant changes within the TMC, Ranjan remarked, “This was bound to happen. The dissatisfaction and apathy among the party workers indicate that it will be very challenging for Mamata Banerjee to save and manage the party.”

Commenting on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to France, Ranjan noted, “This trip is expected to yield several bilateral agreements. India and France have a long and prosperous history of strategic and commercial partnerships. The meeting between Emmanuel Macron and Prime Minister Modi is crucial for both nations.”

On the recent stone-pelting incident at Patliputra Station, Ranjan expressed, “I believe students should not fall prey to provocative actions from the opposition. They are the future of India and must remain calm and disciplined. Recently, students have been engaging in such activities instead of focusing on their studies and exam preparations, which is detrimental to their future.”

Regarding the potential meeting between Prime Minister Modi and U.S. President Donald Trump at the G-7 summit, Ranjan stated, “The G-7 summit is significant for global peace, and the meeting between Modi and Trump is likely.”

Discussing the upcoming meeting of the Janata Dal (United), Ranjan said, “This will be a crucial meeting for the organization. It will focus on strengthening the party’s role across various regions of the country and assigning responsibilities to one crore members in Bihar.”
