Thousands Cycle to Hear PM Modi in Surat: Harsh Sanghvi

Surat, June 5: Thousands of people, including Gujarat’s Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghvi and numerous BJP workers, gathered at Indore Stadium in Surat to listen to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Sanghvi attributed this turnout to Modi’s appeal for fuel conservation and environmental protection, noting that people across the country are taking it seriously.

Sanghvi stated that Prime Minister Modi has urged citizens to save petrol and diesel. He encouraged the public to utilize public transport more, cycle for short distances, and adopt walking as a habit. When Modi makes an appeal, people not only listen but also strive to incorporate it into their lives.

The citizens of Surat have wholeheartedly embraced the Prime Minister’s call. As a result, thousands cycled over five kilometers to reach the event venue. Their goal was not just to attend the program but also to convey a message of fuel conservation and environmental protection.

Sanghvi mentioned that many legislators, MPs, and other representatives also cycled to the event. Union Minister C.R. Patil joined the program on foot. According to him, it was a historic sight, as most attendees opted for public transport, cycling, or walking instead of private vehicles.

He remarked that such a unified response to a Prime Minister’s appeal is rare in the history of Indian politics. There was significant enthusiasm among the people for this campaign.

Participation in the event extended beyond just the journey. Many families wrote messages for Prime Minister Modi and prepared placards from their homes. People of all ages, from children to the elderly, actively participated. Sanghvi noted that over 15,000 placards reached the venue.

He also highlighted that some individuals who hadn’t cycled for years joined the campaign, braving the scorching sun. This resurgence of cycling culture reflects the trust and affection people have for Prime Minister Modi.

Discussing Modi’s leadership, Sanghvi emphasized that he is one of the most popular leaders in the country. Holding the record for the longest-serving Prime Minister is significant, but even more important is earning a place in the hearts of the people and consistently working for them. The enthusiasm and trust in PM Modi are evident across the nation. As a Deputy Chief Minister and a common Indian citizen, I express my gratitude to Prime Minister Modi.
