Telangana Government Forms Cabinet Sub-Committee for 99-Day Action Plan

Hyderabad, February 26: The Telangana government has established a cabinet sub-committee to create and present a 99-day action plan for implementation across various state departments.

The sub-committee will be chaired by Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of Finance and Planning, Energy, Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka.

Members of the sub-committee include N. Uttam Kumar Reddy, Minister of Irrigation and Command Area Development, Duddilla Sridhar Babu, Minister of Information Technology, Electronics and Communication, Industry and Commerce, and Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, Minister of Revenue, Housing, and Information and Public Relations.

Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao has issued a government order (GO) regarding this initiative. The Principal Secretary of the Planning Department will serve as the coordinator for the sub-committee, while the Principal Secretary of the Finance Department and the Special Chief Secretaries/Principal Secretaries/Secretaries of relevant departments will participate in the sub-committee meetings.

This action plan aims to accelerate welfare and development activities in the state. During a review meeting, Chief Secretary Ramakrishna Rao emphasized that each department must work with speed, clarity, and measurable outcomes.

He instructed the Secretariat, Special Chief Secretaries, Principal Secretaries, and Secretaries to prepare a concrete and timely action plan. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will chair a review meeting with Secretaries on February 28. A conference for district collectors will be held on March 1. The action plan will be implemented from March 2 to June 9.

The Chief Secretary stated that each department must immediately present a structured action plan. Agenda notes for the collectors’ conference should be prepared without delay.

He also directed that completed government buildings be ready for inauguration and that development projects be taken from files to the ground level.

Priority departments include Rural Development, Urban Administration, Health, Education, Panchayati Raj, Agriculture, Revenue, Tourism, Industry, Women and Child Welfare, Housing, Energy, and Labor, among others. Special attention will be given to sanitation campaigns, rural infrastructure, expansion of health services, and effective distribution of welfare schemes.
