Hyderabad, July 1: Telangana BJP leaders have voiced strong criticism against Chief Minister K. Revant Reddy for mocking BJP National President Nitin Naveen during a recent event.
The BJP representatives asserted that the people of Telangana will oust the “arrogant” Congress government.
During the event, CM Reddy remarked about a recent visitor, referring to Naveen without knowing his full name. He claimed that Naveen believes the next government in Telangana will be his, similar to the situation in West Bengal. Reddy pointed out that it took 15 years for the BJP to establish itself there, suggesting that their tactics might have worked due to Mamata Banerjee’s leadership. He emphasized that the people of Telangana are prepared to counter any such moves.
BJP leaders condemned Reddy’s comments, labeling him as “arrogant.” Union Minister of Coal and Mines G. Kishan Reddy took to X to express his views, stating that respect and courtesy are foreign concepts for the Congress party.
He added that arrogance leads to downfall, addressing Reddy directly. Disrespecting Nitin Naveen will not hide the fear prevalent within the Congress ranks. The people of Telangana have always valued humility over arrogance. This same arrogance led to the ousting of the “Farmhouse CM,” and it will now contribute to the current CM’s downfall.
Reddy’s remarks were also criticized by Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar. He suggested that while Reddy may pretend to forget Naveen’s name, people often forget leaders who are intoxicated by power. Such leaders often mistake arrogance for strength and mockery for political wisdom.
Kumar warned that if Reddy believes the BJP’s growth in Telangana will mirror the time it took in West Bengal, he should reconsider. Given the current performance of the Congress government, it may not take as long. He urged Reddy not to underestimate the BJP, reminding him of their victories over larger governments and more powerful leaders. The competition has officially begun.
Telangana BJP President N. Ramchandra Rao accused the Congress party and its leaders of having arrogance ingrained in their DNA.
Rao stated that this arrogance is why the Congress has failed to win elections while in power since 2011. Despite repeated rejections by Indian voters, the Congress and its leaders remain unwilling to shed their arrogance. The people of Telangana will not accept such behavior. Just as they rejected the “arrogant Farmhouse Dynasty,” the same fate awaits CM Revant Reddy and the Congress government.
