Irans Missile Attack Targets Chinese Company in Kuwait, One Dead

Kuwait City, July 30: A missile attack from Iran has struck a building belonging to a Chinese company in Kuwait. According to the Kuwaiti military, the attack resulted in the death of one employee and caused significant damage to the structure.

The Kuwaiti Ministry of Defense issued a statement on Thursday regarding the incident. They confirmed that the building, located in the northern part of the country, was targeted in the Iranian assault, leading to one fatality.

Major General Saud Abdulaziz Al-Otaibi from the Defense Ministry reported that the attack inflicted heavy damage on the building. He stated that relevant authorities have begun taking necessary measures to address the situation.

Al-Otaibi emphasized that the Kuwaiti armed forces continue to carry out their missions and duties with high efficiency. He assured that all necessary steps are being taken to protect the nation’s sovereignty and maintain security and stability. Coordination with relevant agencies is also in place to ensure the safety of citizens and residents.

In a related incident, significant damage has been reported due to a fire at the Damietta Port in Egypt. The fire, which broke out on Wednesday night, engulfed two vessels. The government revealed on Thursday that initial investigations indicate a drone attack was the cause, with Iran suspected to be behind it.

The New York Times reported, citing two Iranian sources, that the purpose of the attack was to demonstrate that escalating conflict could severely impact global maritime shipping and energy supplies.

Meanwhile, early Thursday, the United States conducted heavy bombings in over ten Iranian cities. According to U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), the targets included numerous sites belonging to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). This escalation has heightened tensions between the two nations, with Iran announcing retaliatory actions following the U.S. airstrikes. The Fars News Agency reported that the IRGC stated, “With the help of the Almighty, the aggressor will be punished today.”
