Suspicious Object Found in Pune Sparks Panic, Bomb Squad Responds

Pune, May 13: A suspicious object resembling a bomb was discovered in Pune on Wednesday, causing widespread alarm. The object was found near a hospital in the Hadapsar area, prompting police to cordon off the vicinity immediately.

Upon receiving the alert, the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad, along with a dog squad, arrived at the scene to investigate. Authorities evacuated nearby residents for safety reasons.

During the investigation, the suspicious object was safely removed from the site. Currently, the Crime Branch and Hadapsar police are looking into the matter. It remains unclear whether the object was indeed explosive.

Following the report, police forces, the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad, dog units, and fire brigade teams rushed to the location. Residents were evacuated, and the investigation commenced.

No official statement has been released regarding this incident as of yet.

In a separate case, 57 individuals have been interrogated in connection with Pakistani gangster Shahzad Bhatti, four of whom are from Pune. However, no arrests have been made, and no one has been detained. All mobile devices belonging to those questioned have been confiscated.

Reports indicate that several important documents and additional electronic devices were seized from some individuals. According to Pune ATS SP, the identities of all 57 individuals were established following confidential inputs from central intelligence agencies, leading to coordinated raids across various cities.

Shahzad Bhatti was allegedly inciting these individuals to engage in anti-national activities and was plotting a significant incident.
