Greater Noida, June 24: The district administration, police, and fire department are intensifying their efforts to inspect the safety and legality of coaching centers operating in Greater Noida. Under the direction of the Police Commissioner, a special joint team has been formed to verify the registration and fire safety standards of these institutions.
The joint team includes the City Magistrate, police officials, the District Inspector of Schools (DIOS), and the Chief Fire Officer (CFO).
On Wednesday, the team conducted surprise inspections at 46 coaching centers within the Greater Noida area. They thoroughly examined the registration documents, fire safety equipment, and overall safety measures of these institutions. During the inspections, two coaching centers were found lacking in fire safety arrangements as per the required standards. Consequently, action has been initiated against these institutions. Additionally, seven coaching centers were discovered to be operating without the necessary registration. The DIOS promptly ordered the sealing of these centers.
Officials have issued clear directives to all coaching operators to fully comply with the fire safety, building safety, registration, and other necessary permit standards set by the government. The administration has warned that any irregularities found during future inspections could lead to immediate sealing of the institution, operational bans, and stringent legal actions against the respective operators.
According to the joint team, actions are also being taken against other institutions with various deficiencies. Officials reported that a total of 66 coaching centers have been inspected so far, with nine centers sealed and notices issued to twelve others.
