Strengthening Historic Ties: Iranian Presidents Visit Welcomed by Maulana Yasub Abbas

New Delhi, September 11 (Daily Kiran) : Maulana Yasub Abbas, the General Secretary and spokesperson of the All India Shia Personal Law Board, expressed his thoughts on the upcoming meeting with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian at the Oberoi Hotel in New Delhi. He noted that he had received an invitation from the Iranian embassy for this significant engagement.

Welcoming the Iranian President to India, Abbas highlighted the importance of reinforcing the long-standing ties between India and Iran. He stated that meeting the Iranian President is a crucial opportunity for him, and he extended condolences to the late religious and political leaders of Iran, as well as to those who lost their lives in conflicts, particularly the children. Abbas also voiced strong objections to actions taken by the United States and Israel.

He remarked on the historical and enduring relationship between India and Iran, expressing hope that these ties will continue to strengthen in the future. Abbas emphasized that both nations should enhance their cooperation.

Discussing the potential benefits of the BRICS summit for India-Iran relations, he noted that it could solidify the partnership between the two countries. With major players like Russia and China involved, along with the participation of Saudi Arabia and the UAE, the summit holds considerable regional significance. He congratulated the Indian government for hosting the BRICS summit and welcomed the Iranian President’s visit.
