SSC Recruitment Alert: Applications Open for 149 Positions Including Lower Division Clerk

New Delhi, June 5: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has officially announced the recruitment of eligible candidates for a total of 149 positions for Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA) and Lower Division Clerk (LDC) under the Departmental Competitive Examination 2025.

Among the 149 vacancies released by the SSC, there are 50 positions from the Central Passport Organization, Ministry of External Affairs; 31 from the Armed Forces Headquarters Clerical Service; 7 from the Ministry of External Affairs (Cadre Cell); 12 from the Railway Board Secretariat Clerical Service; 4 from the Central Administrative Tribunal; 17 from the Office of the Registrar General of India; 9 from the National Technical Research Organisation; 1 from the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare; 13 from the Office of the Development Commissioner (MSME); 2 from the Central Translation Bureau; 1 from the Language Wing, Legislative Department, Ministry of Law and Justice; and 2 from the Bureau of Police Research and Development, Ministry of Home Affairs.

The online application process for these positions commenced on June 5 and will close on June 26. Candidates wishing to apply can submit their registration forms on the official SSC portal until 11 PM on the deadline date.

After successfully applying online, candidates must send a hard copy of their application form along with all relevant documents to the address: Regional Director, Staff Selection Commission (Northern Region), Block Number 12, CGO Complex, Lodhi Road, New Delhi-110003, by post no later than 6 PM on July 3.

Applicants must have completed their 12th grade or possess equivalent qualifications from a recognized board or institution. Additionally, candidates must meet the required years of experience and other eligibility criteria. The maximum age limit for applicants is set at 45 years, calculated based on the application deadline. Candidates from reserved categories will receive age relaxation as per regulations.

Selection of eligible candidates will be based on a computer-based test, written examination, evaluation of service records, document verification, and merit list. The selected candidates will receive a monthly salary ranging from ₹19,900 to ₹63,200.

The computer-based test (CBT) is expected to be conducted between July and August. Candidates are advised to check the official SSC website for detailed notifications regarding recruitment, eligibility, and selection processes.
