Sneha Singh Shines with 10-Under 61 at Womens Pro Golf Tournament

Bangalore, August 6: Sneha Singh, in exceptional form, delivered one of her best rounds at the Women’s Pro Golf Tournament’s 11th leg held at Clover Greens in Hosur, Tamil Nadu. On Thursday, she finished her second round with an impressive score of 10-under 61, following a 2-over 73 in the first round, bringing her total to 8-under 134 and placing her in the lead.

The 2023 Order of Merit winner, Sneha has yet to secure a victory this season. She started strong with a birdie and added another on the third hole before dropping her only shot of the day. Sneha made another birdie on the seventh hole, finishing the front nine with a score of 2-under 35.

At just 22 years old, Sneha was on fire, making a birdie on the 10th hole and paring the 11th, which was her last par of the day. She then went on to score birdies on every hole from the 12th to the 18th, concluding with an outstanding score of 61.

In second place, Vani, despite finishing with an even-par 71, trailed Sneha by four shots. Vani recorded four birdies between the seventh and twelfth holes, but also had four bogeys, leaving her in solo second.

Ayesha, who had an impressive first day with a score of 67, managed two birdies against four bogeys to finish with a 73, tying for third place. Nayanika Sanga also secured a spot in third, scoring 3-under 68 with three birdies, one eagle, and two bogeys.

Tvesa Malik improved her score from 73 to 68, reaching 1-under after 36 holes, tying for seventh with Smriti Bhargav (70-71). Four players, Anvita Narinder (72-70), Lavanya Jadon (72-70), Shagun Narayan (70-72), and Riya Jadon (67-75), tied for 11th. Riya struggled with six bogeys and only two birdies, finishing with a score of 75. The cut after two rounds was set at 155, allowing 31 players to advance to the final round.
