Kiren Rijiju Inaugurates Sixth National Parliamentarians Badminton Championship

New Delhi, August 6: The Sixth National Parliamentarians Badminton Championship has been organized by the Constitution Club of India. Union Minister of Parliamentary Affairs Kiren Rijiju inaugurated the event, highlighting its role in promoting fitness and fostering camaraderie among parliamentarians, which is crucial from a political perspective.

Speaking to the media, Kiren Rijiju stated, “The Constitution Club of India, run by current and former parliamentarians, is hosting the sixth National Parliamentarians Badminton Championship. Members from various parties and all age groups are participating, which is commendable. While there may be heated discussions among party leaders in Parliament, sports provide a platform for all MPs to bond amicably. The government is promoting the ‘Fit India’ and ‘Khelo India’ initiatives, and MPs will also contribute to this campaign through sports. I congratulate Rajiv Pratap Rudy for organizing this event. The Constitution Club actively campaigns against drugs and other social evils, and I am glad to be a part of it. I am very excited about the badminton championship.”

Rajiv Pratap Rudy, BJP MP and Secretary of the Constitution Club of India, remarked, “The launch of the National Parliamentarians Badminton Tournament was a success, inaugurated by Union Minister Kiren Rijiju. Members of the governing body were present, and a significant number of MPs participated, transcending party lines. Regardless of the political climate in Parliament, there is great camaraderie outside. The Constitution Club is known for its performance, friendship, and bringing MPs together.”

RSP MP N.K. Premachandran added, “Rajiv Pratap Rudy is doing an excellent job and setting a benchmark. We have a gym and several other activities. I have heard that the Constitution Club’s gym is among the best in the world. The Constitution Club of India also organizes swimming, badminton tournaments, and many other activities.”
