Washington, August 6: The quest for peace in the Middle East has garnered global attention. In this context, U.S. Vice President JD Vance has described negotiations with Iran as complex and challenging. He attributes this difficulty to significant mutual disagreements.
In an interview with Fox News on Wednesday, Vance stated, “Some factions in Iran want to end the conflict, while others, more radical groups, wish to continue it. Therefore, it is crucial for the U.S. to adopt a balanced strategy on military, economic, and diplomatic fronts.”
Vance further explained, “Iranians are tough negotiators. Additionally, their system is fractured. Our task is to manage this situation and achieve the best possible outcome for the U.S. and the President.”
He emphasized that any final agreement with Iran will not come swiftly but expressed confidence that the U.S. will achieve its objectives. “The path is not easy. It will be challenging, but I believe we will ultimately reach our destination. Oil prices will drop and remain low. The U.S. has always maintained that Iran will never possess nuclear weapons, and we will be in a strong position,” he noted.
Meanwhile, on Thursday, the Iranian military announced its readiness to confront any potential threats. Army spokesperson Brigadier General Amir Akraminia claimed that the military is enhancing its operational capabilities. This includes modernizing damaged systems and incorporating new military equipment developed through domestic technology.
He stated, “With the arrival of new military materials, the army is also adjusting the deployment of its weapons and equipment as needed to respond promptly to any challenges.”
