Jabalpur, June 15: A shocking incident unfolded in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, on Monday, where a woman was allegedly shot dead by her business partner. Following the act, the accused also took his own life, resulting in both deaths at the scene. The police have launched an investigation into the matter.
According to police reports, the incident occurred near Raju Duplex in the Gorakhpur police station area. The victims have been identified as Shakti Kohli and Dipesh Rathore, who had been running a beauty parlor together for several months.
Preliminary information suggests that Shakti Kohli was in her room when Dipesh Rathore arrived. A conversation between them escalated into a dispute. Initial investigations indicate that Dipesh shot Shakti before turning the gun on himself. Both succumbed to their injuries at the scene.
Upon hearing gunshots, nearby residents promptly notified the police. A police team and forensic experts arrived at the location to begin their investigation.
CSP H.D. Nagotia from Jabalpur stated that upon receiving reports of gunfire in the Gorakhpur area, officers found a man and a woman deceased. It appears that the man shot the woman before taking his own life.
The crime scene has been sealed, and the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team is collecting evidence. The police have also seized a suspected weapon used in the incident, along with the victims’ mobile phones and other belongings for examination.
Both bodies have been sent for post-mortem analysis. Authorities are recording statements from the families of the deceased and others connected to them to uncover the full truth behind the incident.
