New Delhi, July 21: Shiv Sena (UBT) Rajya Sabha member Sanjay Raut has launched a sharp attack on the central government regarding the farmers’ march to Delhi, the merger of Shiv Sena (UBT) MPs, and the NEET paper leak issue. He accused the government of neglecting farmers, youth, and the education system.
In response to the farmers’ march, Raut stated that this government is anti-farmer and anti-labor. He alleged that the government is only acting in its political self-interest, showing no concern for farmers or the youth. He warned that when farmers from Punjab reach Delhi, the government will be forced to flee from Parliament.
Raut also reacted strongly to the official merger of six Shiv Sena (UBT) MPs into Shiv Sena. He labeled these MPs as “traitors” rather than “rebels.” He remarked, “Revolutionaries like Bhagat Singh and Sukhdev were rebels. The students who took to the streets on Monday were also rebels, but those who sold out for money are traitors, not rebels. If our six MPs have joined them, they are traitors. They are participating in ‘Mangal Milan.’ If they were involved in a genuine struggle, I would accept them.”
On the NEET paper leak and education system issues, Raut criticized the government further. He noted that a significant protest occurred on Monday, where Sonam Wangchuk began an indefinite hunger strike at Jantar Mantar, demanding the resignation of the education minister.
Raut alleged that during the protest, students were subjected to police brutality and harassment. He emphasized, “The real question is whether you want to protect Dharmendra Pradhan or the future of the country’s education system and youth. That is the biggest difference.”
