New Delhi, July 21: The Delhi Traffic Police has issued a traffic advisory in anticipation of a proposed farmers’ protest, sit-in, and rally at Kisan Ghat on Tuesday. According to the traffic police, areas such as Satyagraha Marg, Velodrome Road, Rajghat DTC Depot Road, and nearby regions are expected to experience significant traffic disruptions. Commuters are advised to avoid these routes and consider alternative paths.
Traffic may be diverted through Delhi Gate, Rajghat Crossing, Guru Nanak Chowk, Shantivan Chowk, Rajghat DTC Depot, and IP Flyover if necessary. Additionally, traffic pressure may increase on Rajghat DTC Bypass Road and surrounding streets.
The Delhi Traffic Police has specifically urged travelers heading to the airport, railway stations, or nearby areas to plan their journeys in advance. Leaving early can help avoid unnecessary delays.
The police have appealed to the public to fully comply with the instructions of traffic personnel on duty. Vehicles should only be parked in designated areas, and roadside parking should be avoided to prevent traffic congestion. Furthermore, travelers are encouraged to use navigation apps before and during their journeys to receive real-time traffic updates and select alternative routes if needed.
The Delhi Traffic Police stated that these measures are being implemented to ensure public safety and smooth traffic flow. Citizens are requested to remain patient, adhere to traffic regulations, and cooperate with the police.
