Mumbai, March 27: Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Nirupam commended the central government for reducing excise duties on diesel and petrol. He stated that this decision was made to prevent an increase in fuel prices, especially in light of ongoing conflicts in West Asia that could impact the common man. He emphasized that the central government made a commendable choice by prioritizing public interests.
Nirupam described Prime Minister Narendra Modi as one of the most successful leaders in the country’s history. Under his leadership, India is progressing steadily, with the economy poised to become the third-largest in the world. He noted that PM Modi maintains direct communication with major world leaders and has earned respect globally.
Additionally, Nirupam criticized the Congress party’s demand for free IPL tickets, labeling it as a recurring trait of the party. He argued that the IPL is a commercial venture involving significant investments and high-profile teams, questioning why any legislator would expect complimentary tickets.
On the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), he remarked that the party is recovering from the shock of Ajit Pawar’s passing. He accused members of other parties of spreading misinformation to tarnish the NCP’s reputation. Nirupam urged the public to disregard such conspiracies, emphasizing that the NCP is focused on strengthening itself during this challenging time. He called for Maharashtra’s leaders to refrain from making disparaging remarks about Ajit Pawar and the NCP.
