New Delhi, April 2: Samajwadi Party MP Ramgopal Yadav has criticized the BJP following the passage of the Central Armed Police Forces (General Administration) Bill in the Lok Sabha. He stated that the government’s mistakes are causing significant distress among the public.
In an interview with a news agency, Yadav remarked, “This government is making all the wrong moves, relying solely on its majority. The people are suffering the consequences. May God help them. The public is ready to respond in the upcoming times. The state of the country under this government has never been seen before.”
Commenting on West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s statements regarding the Special Intensive Revision (SIR), Yadav confidently asserted, “Mamata Banerjee will win; mark my words and record it. She will win by a large majority. The central government can exert all its power, but it won’t be able to disrupt her.”
He emphasized that no voter can be removed, and mere statements from the BJP will not change the situation. Even if Delhi exerts all its influence, it will not affect Mamata Banerjee. The public stands with her, aware of who is genuinely working for their welfare and who is not. Therefore, no matter how hard they try, it will not yield results.
It is noteworthy that Trinamool Congress leader Mamata Banerjee recently wrote a letter to Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, accusing the BJP of a “serious conspiracy” against the democratic rights of the people of Bengal. She demanded a halt to fraudulent voter entries in the SIR process ahead of the West Bengal Assembly elections. Banerjee accused the BJP of attempting to illegally include a large number of out-of-state voters in Bengal’s electoral rolls through “Form 6” applications.
Regarding the shortage of petrol, diesel, and gas, Yadav stated that the public is in distress, yet no attention is being paid to it. He noted that the government has previously troubled the people multiple times, and they are now prepared to respond. A response is expected soon.
