Salman Khurshid Critiques Governments Focus on Wealth Over Faith in Ram

New Delhi, June 24: Congress leader Salman Khurshid has targeted Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. In a recent conversation, he stated that Pradhan’s claims are limited to paper and lofty promises, and he should address the realities on the ground.

Regarding the issue of keeping the Strait of Hormuz open, Khurshid mentioned that initiatives have been taken to ensure its accessibility. He asserted that India had also made offers related to this matter. He pointed out that when an Iranian vessel was sunk, India did not file any complaints. Despite this, Iran did not place any blame on India. Khurshid emphasized that Iran is a generous nation and that the relationship between India and Iran is longstanding, suggesting that India should express gratitude towards Iran.

On the alleged donation controversy surrounding the Ram Temple, he stated that those responsible for its construction should provide answers. He acknowledged that everyone has faith in Lord Ram. Some hold this faith due to their connection to Sanatan Dharma, while others express their reverence through friends or associates.

Khurshid questioned those who assert their rights over the Ram Temple and frequently discuss it. He urged them to consider whether they have prioritized wealth over their faith in Lord Ram. He raised a significant question: have they forgotten their devotion to Lord Ram by placing greater importance on money?

In response to Kailash Vijayvargiya’s comments, Khurshid remarked, “If we do not walk on the road, where should we go? Should we stay in this country or not? Does Kailash Vijayvargiya understand the implications of his statements? The roads have been built by Hindus, Muslims, and Christians together. Is he aware of the contributions made by various communities in road construction?”

He further stated that discussions should focus on the nation rather than just the roads. The contributions of those who fought for the country’s freedom should be acknowledged. He noted that when Muslims fought for independence, no one referred to them as Hindu or Muslim; they were all considered Indians. The nation was built collectively, yet today, there are discussions aimed at dividing people.
