Mumbai, October 13 (Daily Kiran): Bollywood superstar Salman Khan used the stage of Bigg Boss 19 Weekend Ka Vaar to deliver a subtle but sharp response to filmmaker Abhinav Kashyap, who had previously levelled serious allegations against him and other top Bollywood stars.

During Sunday’s episode, stand-up comedian Ravi Gupta appeared as a guest, and amidst light-hearted banter, Salman dropped what many viewers saw as a direct taunt at the Dabangg director.

“Kaam Mila Kya Bhai?” — Salman’s Sarcastic Jibe

After praising Ravi Gupta’s performance, Salman steered the conversation toward his critics. Without naming Abhinav Kashyap directly, he remarked —

“Kaam se yaad aaya, ek aur director hai… ‘Dabangg’ insaan. Aajkal wo mujhe, Aamir Khan aur Shah Rukh Khan sabko lepet rahe hain. Main unse sirf ye poochhna chahta hoon — kaam mila kya bhai? Har kisi ki burai karoge kya? Jinke naam le rahe ho, wo to life mein kabhi tumhare saath kaam nahi karenge.”

Salman went on to add that he once offered the director a second film, but the offer was rejected.

“Jab humne doosri movie offer ki thi, unhone mana kar diya. Ab apne aap ko hi destroy kar liya. Agar kisi parivaar ke peeche padna hai, to apne parivaar se pyaar karo — maa-baap, biwi, bachchon se. Main chahta hoon tum grow karo, talent hai tumhare paas, lekin yeh gully mat pakdo, highway pe wapas aao.”

Ravi Gupta humorously replied, “Iss episode ke baad ek aur interview aa jayega,” to which Salman smiled and said,

“Aa jayega, upar wala hi karega. Main roz subah ghutnon pe aata hoon, lekin sirf upar wale ke liye.”

Background: What Abhinav Kashyap Had Said

In a recent interview with Bollywood Thikana, Abhinav Kashyap, who directed the 2010 blockbuster Dabangg, had made a series of explosive remarks about Salman Khan and his family. He claimed that Salman had built a “chhichhora and mawali” image through films like Wanted and Tere Naam.

Kashyap went further, calling Salman and his family “criminals on bail” and alleged that “they are not normal people.” He also targeted Shah Rukh Khan, saying, “He should move to Dubai. He only takes from society but gives nothing back.”

A War of Words Rekindled

This isn’t the first time Salman Khan and Abhinav Kashyap have indirectly exchanged words. After Dabangg’s release, Kashyap had accused Salman’s family of professional interference, leading to a permanent rift.

With Salman’s latest remarks on Bigg Boss 19, it’s clear that the superstar hasn’t forgotten the controversy — choosing the country’s biggest reality TV platform to issue a calm yet pointed response.
