Mumbai, April 2: The renowned director and producer Subhash Ghai’s music school, Whistling Woods International, is hosting a three-day event, the Cadence Film Festival, where numerous singers are showcasing their vocal talents.
Punjabi and Bollywood singer Sukhwinder Singh attended the festival, openly praising the producer. He expressed that it is thanks to Subhash Ghai that he has learned to remain happy.
Speaking to the media, the singer said, “It feels wonderful to be part of such a music festival, and I have participated in it before. The special thing is that I learned the nuances of music here, and Subhash Ghai has played a significant role in my hard work.” He further added, “I have a lot of love for Subhash Ji, and I have learned a great deal from him. I learned the simplicity of singing and the way to stay happy from him, as there are rules to happiness. If you follow them, you will find joy in every situation. Very few people know that Subhash Ji is a vibrant and colorful person, but what he has contributed to Hindi cinema will always be recorded in history.”
When asked about the challenges in music creation today, the singer remarked that while technology has changed, emotions remain the same, as feelings never change. Subhash Ghai responded to this question by stating that the festival is named ‘Divine Jam’ to reflect the evolving times. He emphasized that without a pure soul, spirit, and existence, understanding music becomes difficult. Every piece of music contains devotion, Sufism, or love, which never changes.
He illustrated this by saying that fashion was different in our fathers’ and grandfathers’ times compared to today, but the essence remains the same. The body and fashion may change, but the soul does not, and the same applies to music. Time and technology may evolve, but music remains timeless.
