Hyderabad, September 5 (Daily Kiran) : The Railway Sports Promotion Board (RSPB) delivered an impressive performance in the 2026 Senior Men’s Inter-Department National Championship, held in Hyderabad on September 5. They decisively defeated Tamil Nadu Police (TNP) with a staggering score of 12-1.
In this pool D match, Amandeep Lakra and Simranjot Singh both scored hat tricks, while Shreyas Dhupe contributed with two goals. Other players, including Rohit, Rahim Syed Niyaz (captain), Rawat Yogambar, and Lovepreet Singh, also found the back of the net. This victory came just a day after RSPB triumphed over Canara Bank with a score of 5-1.
Meanwhile, the Central Secretariat (CS) secured their second consecutive win in pool A by defeating the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) 5-1. Captain Chandan Singh and Bharat Mahalimgappa Kurtakoti each scored two goals, with Manikanta Venkateshwaralu adding the fifth.
In pool B, the Sports Authority of India (SAI), who had previously crushed the Defence Accounts Sports Control Board 20-1, continued their winning streak by beating the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) 5-0 in their second match.
All India Police Sports Control Board also celebrated their second victory in pool C, winning 4-0 against the Steel Plant Sports Board. Arun Sahni scored a hat trick, while Singh Suraj added one goal.
The Food Corporation of India (FCI) had a successful day as well, defeating the Steel Plant Sports Board 4-0 in pool D. Nitin and Navraj Singh each scored two goals, following their earlier win against Tamil Nadu Police.
The Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) made a thrilling comeback in pool B, winning 5-4 against Punjab and Sind Bank after starting their campaign with a 4-1 victory over the Central Reserve Police Force. Conversely, the Services Sports Control Board faced a setback, losing 2-5 to the Central Board of Direct Taxes after previously winning against the Steel Plant Sports Board 6-3.
In another exciting match, the Petroleum Sports Promotion Board (PSPB) played to a 4-4 draw with Punjab National Bank. For PSPB, Chiramako Sudip, Tirki Dipson, Dilbar Barla, and Singh Talwinder scored, while PNB’s goals came from Sachin, Singh Gursimran, Panchal Prikshant, and Mahipal. PSPB had previously secured a 7-1 victory over the Sashastra Seema Bal.
