
Shenzhen, September 5 (Daily Kiran) : The Asia-Pacific Media High-Level Forum officially opened on September 5 in Shenzhen, located in China’s Guangdong province. Li Shulei, a member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and Minister of the Publicity Department, attended the inauguration and delivered the keynote speech.
Huang Kunming, another member of the CPC Central Committee and Secretary of the Guangdong Provincial CPC Committee, also spoke at the event.
Participants agreed that President Xi Jinping’s significant proposal for building an Asia-Pacific community provides essential guidance for fostering a collaborative and open Asia-Pacific economy, as well as promoting shared prosperity in the region.
This year has been designated as “China Year” for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC), with China set to host the 33rd APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting. It is anticipated that this meeting will yield fruitful results through collaborative efforts, elevating Asia-Pacific cooperation to new heights.
Attendees emphasized that development and collaboration in the Asia-Pacific region cannot be achieved without the active participation of the media. They highlighted the necessity of sharing inspiring stories of openness and integration, providing comprehensive coverage of cooperation progress and achievements, and fostering a favorable public opinion environment for open development in the region.
