New Delhi, July 2: BJP national spokesperson RP Singh has responded to several issues in Parliament, including a privilege notice against Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, India-Pakistan relations, the Ram Mandir donation controversy, expressway projects in Uttar Pradesh, and the Dwarka Expressway to Vasant Kunj tunnel project in Delhi.
Regarding the privilege notice against Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, RP Singh criticized the Congress party for politicizing military matters and national security. He emphasized that there are various ways to express opinions in a democracy and urged the Congress not to undermine the morale of the armed forces.
In response to an appeal from 117 individuals, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, to restore dialogue between the two nations, Singh stated that these individuals should first ask Pakistan when it will stop sending terrorists across the border. He highlighted the need for Pakistan to take action against terrorists it harbors, particularly those from Jaish-e-Mohammed. Singh reiterated the Indian government’s clear stance: terrorism and dialogue cannot coexist. If dialogue is to commence, terrorism must cease.
On the Ram Mandir donation issue, Singh accused Akhilesh Yadav of playing politics. He noted that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath promptly initiated an SIT investigation, resulting in FIRs against eight individuals, with arrests already made. Singh assured that no official or employee would be spared, and the SIT has the authority to seek assistance from central agencies if necessary.
Commenting on Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s statement that no one would be spared in the donation case, Singh agreed, asserting that all criminals involved, whether members of the trust or employees, would face consequences.
Regarding the approval of the highway from Kanpur to Kabrai, Singh highlighted that Uttar Pradesh is witnessing the most expressway construction under the Yogi government, benefiting from the double-engine government model in collaboration with the central government.
On the Dwarka Expressway to Vasant Kunj tunnel project, Singh noted that the double-engine government is making significant progress in Delhi. An underground route from Dwarka is set to be developed, along with other highway projects in the capital, with the central government’s support.
