New Delhi, March 29: MP Sudhakar Singh from the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) has expressed concerns that escalating crises in Central Asia could directly affect India’s economy.
In a recent conversation, Singh stated that if conflicts continue, it is inevitable that India’s economic situation will deteriorate. He warned that rising inflation, factory closures, and job losses could lead to increased unemployment. He urged the government to take proactive measures, emphasizing that restoring peace would benefit not only India but all nations involved.
Regarding Iran, Singh noted the positive relationship, stating that Iran recognizes the support of India’s 1.45 billion people. He commended Iran for its goodwill towards India, highlighting its continued gas supply despite facing its own challenges.
Commenting on the arrest of Nepal’s former Prime Minister, Singh described the situation as unfortunate. He pointed out that elections result in victories and losses, determined by the electorate. He stressed the need for Nepal’s new government to address issues like corruption, education, and healthcare. If these challenges are not tackled, the crisis that has recently been resolved could worsen.
On the situation in West Bengal, Singh criticized the Election Commission, claiming it is effectively governing the state. He stated that Mamata Banerjee’s administration is non-existent, with the DGP and Chief Secretary appointed by the Election Commission. He questioned the fear exhibited by the Election Commission and the BJP in this context.
In response to Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s comments, Singh challenged him to clarify whether corruption has truly been eradicated in Bihar. He accused the BJP of only recognizing corruption in states where they are not in power, while leaders accused of corruption within their ranks are often exonerated. He asserted that the public is aware of the BJP’s double standards.
Singh also highlighted the fuel crisis stemming from tensions between Iran and the U.S., which has severely impacted daily life for citizens, working youth, students, and laborers across the country. He noted significant difficulties in transportation, food access, and meeting daily needs.
