Noida, August 24: The number of swine flu cases in Noida is on the rise. With the changing weather, many individuals are visiting private hospitals and health centers due to symptoms like fever, cough, cold, and sore throat.
Upon showing symptoms, patients are advised to undergo swine flu testing as per medical guidance. According to the health department, 14 cases of swine flu have been confirmed in the district so far. In response to the increasing cases, the health department has begun taking precautionary measures. Beds have been reserved for swine flu patients at the district hospital and the JIMS hospital in Greater Noida.
Health officials state that, given the rise in patient numbers, necessary arrangements in hospitals are under continuous review to ensure immediate treatment for infected patients when needed. Doctors indicate that the ongoing changes in weather are contributing to an increase in viral infections and respiratory illnesses.
The initial symptoms of swine flu can resemble those of common viral fever and seasonal infections. Therefore, individuals experiencing high fever, persistent cough, sore throat, runny nose, body aches, and extreme fatigue are advised not to take these symptoms lightly. Health experts emphasize the importance of taking precautions in crowded places, covering the mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing, and maintaining regular hand hygiene to prevent infection.
Instead of self-medicating, it is recommended to seek medical advice upon noticing symptoms. Following the confirmation of 14 patients in the district, the health department has heightened its monitoring efforts.
