Relief from Heat in Delhi-NCR: Temperatures Below 40°C This Week

New Delhi, June 24: Residents of the National Capital Region (NCR) are currently experiencing relief from the intense heat and heatwaves. Recent changes in weather patterns, including cloud movements, strong winds, and occasional light rain, have helped maintain moderate temperatures.

According to the latest forecast from the India Meteorological Department (IMD), maximum temperatures are not expected to exceed 40 degrees Celsius throughout this week. Intermittent light rain, thunderstorms, and strong winds will continue to provide respite from the heat and humidity.

The IMD’s seven-day forecast predicts a maximum temperature of 40 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 26 degrees Celsius on June 24. The sky is expected to be partially cloudy, with the possibility of developing thunderclouds. On June 25, the maximum temperature is forecasted to be 39 degrees Celsius, with a minimum of 28 degrees Celsius. The sky will remain partially cloudy, and no specific weather warnings have been issued for this day.

On June 26, further changes in the weather are anticipated. The department has predicted rain accompanied by thunderstorms, with maximum temperatures reaching 40 degrees and minimums at 28 degrees Celsius. Rain and thunderstorms are also expected to continue on June 27, with maximum temperatures around 40 degrees and minimums at 29 degrees Celsius.

On June 28, the weather is expected to be relatively calm, with the sky remaining partially cloudy. The maximum temperature is projected to be 40 degrees Celsius, and the minimum will be 29 degrees Celsius. On June 29, rain with thunderstorms is likely again, with maximum temperatures around 39 degrees and minimums at 29 degrees Celsius.

Importantly, the weather department has not issued any warnings for the upcoming days, indicating that there is no likelihood of extreme heat or severe weather threats in the NCR.

Weather experts advise residents to stay hydrated and take care of their health amidst the changing weather. The influence of western disturbances and local meteorological activities will continue to provide relief from the heat this week. The movement of clouds, strong winds, and occasional light rain will play a crucial role in keeping the weather pleasant.
