Rashmi Desai Reflects on Her Journey: I Never Knew Where Destiny Would Take Me

Mumbai, June 13: While reminiscing about her childhood, television actress Rashmi Desai shared that “little Rashmi” never knew where destiny would lead her, yet she always maintained her inner glow.

Rashmi made her Hindi television debut in 2006 with “Raavan.” She recently shared some old childhood photos, showcasing her stylish looks from those days.

Expressing gratitude for every lesson, struggle, and blessing she encountered along her journey, Rashmi gained fame for her role as Tapasya in the 2000s show “Uttaran.” She celebrated the experiences that shaped her into the person she is today.

In her Instagram caption, Rashmi wrote, “Little Rashmi didn’t know where life would take her, but she still kept her inner shine. I am grateful for every lesson, every struggle, and every blessing I received on this journey.”

Notably, Rashmi captured public attention with her participation in the reality show “Bigg Boss 13.” She has also appeared in various shows including “Pari Hoon Main,” “Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 5,” “Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 6,” “Zara Nachke Dikha 2,” and “Nach Baliye 7.” Additionally, she had a special role in Salman Khan’s film “Dabangg 2.”

At 40, Rashmi was last seen in “Wagle Ki Duniya: Nayi Peedhi Naye Kisse,” a show based on the characters of cartoonist R.K. Laxman, depicting the everyday problems of a common middle-class Indian man.

Earlier in May, while discussing her foray into theatre with “Mrs. Mara Online Che,” Rashmi highlighted that theatre artists often do not receive their due recognition on time and do not require “anyone else’s approval.” She emphasized that theatre is the most underrated medium.

In her conversation, Rashmi mentioned that a theatre actor works very hard. They often do not receive their rights on time, but they find joy in their small circle and do not need anyone to tell them what to do.

She added, “If they make mistakes or face failures, others are ready to support them, saying, ‘This too shall pass.’ There is always a new beginning, and theatre is the best way to learn. However, they deserve more respect, and people should know more about theatre and theatre artists.”
